  1. Description of goods: BookFish buys and sells new and second-hand books and Publishers Remainders. Remainders and publishers-returns may have imperfections, please read the condition report and accompanying information. BookFish will not be held responsible for any imperfections - when you purchase any products you are agreeing to have understood this disclaimer and will not hold BookFish liable for any imperfections.
  2. Export restriction: None.
  3. Return and Refunds: The provision of goods and services by BookFish is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, BookFish will refund the client in full within 30 days. Cancellation of orders by the client will attract a 10% administration fee. Refund of credit card payments made will attract the current refund or chargeback fees.
  4. Customer Privacy: BookFish shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, "personal information" shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). The PAIA may be downloaded from: www.polity.org.za
  5. Payment options accepted: Credit Card payment may be made via Visa and MasterCard using Yoco payment links. We accept EFT directly into our bank account only from South African banks.
  6. Customer details: Customer details will be stored by Book Fish separately from card details which are entered by the client on the payment gateway secure site.
  7. Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency: The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
  8. Responsibility: BookFish takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.
  9. Pricing: Except where noted otherwise, the price displayed for products on our website represents the full retail price listed on the product itself. The price of each product is displayed with the product listing. In the event of a sale or special offer, the discounted price is displayed. VAT at 15% is included in the price.
  10. Constitution of a Sale: Placing a product in a shopping basket without completing the purchase cycle does not: constitute an agreement of sale; and/or constitute an order for such product, and as such, BookFish may remove such product from the shopping basket if no stock is available and you may not hold Bookfish liable if such product is not available when the purchase cycle is completed at a later stage. An agreement of sale only comes into effect if and when: The purchaser electronically submits a properly completed order for one or more products in the purchasers shopping basket; and payment is either authorised, or received by BookFish in its bank account.
  11. Termination of Sales & Cancellation of Orders: BookFish reserves the right, whether for purposes of preventing suspected fraud or otherwise, to refuse to accept, or process payment on, any order and/or to cancel any sale concluded between the purchaser and BookFish, in whole or in part, without giving any reasons.
  12. Country of domicile: This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and BookFish chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature, as 1 Entabeni, 2 Emerald Street, Kensington, Johannesburg.
  13. Variation: BookFish may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
