Eggs of Birds Breeding in Southern Africa by Cecil D. Priest was written in an attempt to help some of the numerous collectors of birds eggs in Southern Africa to identify the eggs in their collections by means of the text and coloured plates during that period. The book gives a more or less comprehensive display of the eggs of all the birds known to breed within the faunal area under review, namely south of the Cunene River on the west coast of Africa, and the Zambesi River on the east coast of Africa.
Includes 20 colored plates depicting over four hundred and thirty birds' eggs.
Good Condition. Minor rubbing to boards and minor wear to edges. DJ is worn and stained with open tears on top & lower sections of the spine. Ex-libris. Inscription by previous owner inside front board. All plates and all tissue guards are present. Slight tanning of pages.
